The Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) aims to strengthen India’s public health systems, focusing on infrastructure, pandemic preparedness, and health emergency responses. The Delhi High Court has directed the AAP government to sign an MoU with the Ministry of Health by January 5, despite the Model Code of Conduct during elections. While 33 states/UTs have implemented the scheme, Delhi lags, piloting it only at Indira Gandhi Hospital. The court emphasized that funds must benefit Delhi residents and warned against delays, ensuring the scheme’s full rollout to enhance health services.
