Pantsir-S1: India’s New Missile-Gun System
India's Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and Russia's Rosoboronexport signed an MoU during the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission (IRIGC) meeting in Goa, focusing on the Pantsir air defence system. The Pantsir-S1 integrates missile and gun systems, designed to protect critical assets from aerial threats. This collaboration enhances India’s air defence capabilities while fostering bilateral ties. Established in 1970, BDL specializes in missile systems, while Rosoboronexport oversees Russian military exports. The agreement signifies a strategic partnership aimed at advancing joint technology and production efforts, reflecting India's commitment to bolstering its defence readiness and fostering international collaboration.
