DRDO Conducts Successful Flight-Test of Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile (LRLACM)
The DRDO successfully flight-tested the Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile (LRLACM) on November 12, 2024, marking a major milestone in India’s defence capabilities. With a range of 1,000 km, advanced avionics, and terrain-hugging abilities, the missile enhances India's standoff strike options. Developed primarily by the Aeronautical Development Establishment and supported by Bharat Dynamics and BEL, the LRLACM is designed for deployment via ground-based mobile platforms and ships. This success underscores India’s progress in indigenous missile technology and strengthens its strategic deterrence. Future focus includes expanding configurations and refining regional defence systems.
