UNESCO’s Memory of the World program recently added three significant Indian literary works—Ramcharitmanas, Panchatantra, and Sahṛdayaloka-Locana—to its Asia-Pacific Regional Register. This achievement occurred during the tenth meeting of the Memory of the World Committee for Asia and the Pacific (MOWCAP) in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Ramcharitmanas, written by Goswami Tulsidas, is a revered epic across Southeast Asia. Panchatantra, attributed to Vishnu Sharma, is a collection of ancient fables imparting moral lessons.
