President Appoints New Governors

President Droupadi Murmu has reshuffled governorships across five states to address governance challenges, particularly in conflict-ridden regions like Manipur. Ajay Kumar Bhalla was appointed as Governor of Manipur amidst ethnic tensions. Arif Mohammed Khan moved from Kerala to Bihar following disputes with Kerala’s government, and Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar took over as Kerala's Governor. Hari Babu Kambhampati transitioned from Mizoram to Odisha, while General (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh was appointed Mizoram's Governor. These changes reflect a strategic approach to strengthen leadership and address regional complexities.
