4 Nordic countries recently agreed to integrate their air defences, in an uncommon move. This spells major changes for European geopolitics.
Recent Developments:
- Recently, the Air Chiefs of several Nordic countries- Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden- agreed to bring their air defences together to counter the threat from Russia.
- These 4 countries together have some 300 fighter aircrafts.
- The goal of the agreement is to integrate and eventually function as one force.
What is the New Warsaw Pact?
- About the original Warsaw Pact:
- Poland was part of the Soviet Bloc during the Cold War.
- It hosted the HQ of the Warsaw Pact-
