Kythnos Archaeological Site

News:
- Numerous pottery offerings excavated at Kythnos archaeological site.
- These were excavated from a sanctuary complex at a hilltop sanctuary at Vryokastro:
- >2,000 intact or almost complete clay figurines- especially of women and children, and also of male actors, tortoises, lions, pigs and birds.
- Ceremonial pottery vessels linked to Greek goddess of agriculture (Demeter) and her daughter (Persephone).
- Luxury pottery imported from other parts of ancient Greece.
- Ornate lamps
