JP Nadda – Chairperson of 77th WHO South-East Asia Session
India's Health Minister, JP Nadda, was elected Chairperson of the 77th WHO South-East Asia Session (RC77), where health leaders from 11 countries, including India and Bangladesh, gathered to address regional health issues. The session focuses on tackling challenges such as rising non-communicable diseases, antimicrobial resistance, high child mortality, and tuberculosis. JP Nadda emphasized cross-border collaboration for improved healthcare. Under Saima Wazed's regional roadmap, the session highlights emergency preparedness, resource allocation, climate change impacts, and Universal Health Coverage (UHC), aiming to build a healthier future for over two billion people.
