INSV Tarini Completes Historic Voyage to Australia
INSV Tarini, part of India’s Navika Sagar Parikrama II, completed a 39-day voyage from Goa to Fremantle, Australia, covering 4900 nautical miles. This historic expedition, crewed by two female officers, Lt Cdr Dilna K and Lt Cdr Roopa A, faced extreme weather challenges, showcasing resilience and maritime skill. The journey promotes gender equality and maritime cooperation, emphasizing India’s rich naval heritage. Warmly welcomed in Fremantle, the vessel will continue to other international ports, fostering cultural ties and inspiring future generations of sailors.
