Indian MSMEs: Job Creation and Growth
India’s MSMEs have generated approximately 10 crore jobs within 15 months, fueled by a surge in registered enterprises from 2.33 crore to 5.49 crore. Women employment saw a remarkable boost, contributing 5.23 crore jobs. Government initiatives like the ₹22,137.95 crore budget for the MSME Ministry, collateral-free term loans, and increased Mudra “Tarun” loan limits have been instrumental. The Udyam Portal simplifies registration, fostering transparency. MSMEs remain pivotal for India’s economic and employment growth, supported by strategic policies and enhanced funding to create robust market opportunities.
