Gujarat’s Har Ghar Connectivity Programme

Gujarat’s Har Ghar Connectivity programme is a key initiative under the Digital India campaign, aiming to bridge the digital divide between urban and rural areas. Launched by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the pilot project connects 25,000 rural households with Fibre-to-Home (FTTH) technology, offering high-speed internet and value-added services like Wi-Fi, cable TV, OTT platforms, and IoT solutions. It enhances access to education, telemedicine, and government services. Partnering with Gujarat Fibre Grid Network Limited (GFGNL), the programme aspires to transform homes into smart homes while supporting agricultural productivity. Gujarat also leads BharatNet Phase-3, reinforcing its leadership in digital infrastructure development.
