Govt to Boost Delhi’s Transport Network
The Indian government has allocated ₹12,500 crore, with an additional ₹1,200 crore from the CRIF fund, to improve Delhi's transport network. Key projects include enhanced connectivity to major expressways, reducing travel time and pollution, and addressing congestion issues. A ₹3,500 crore tunnel project aims to ease traffic near Mahipalpur, while a ₹4,400 crore initiative enhances connectivity between North and South-West Delhi and Noida. Over the next two years, a ₹1 lakh crore infrastructure investment is planned to bolster Delhi’s sustainability and urban mobility.
