GEMCOVAC OM received green light from the Drug Control General of India for Emergency Use Authorization.

• It is the 1st indigenously manufactured mRNA-based booster vaccine that has been specifically developed for the Omicron variant.

Pros:

• Thermostable vaccine i.e. doesn’t require ultra-cold storage conditions.
