Clean Ganga Mission to Start Dolphin Ambulance
The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) has introduced a Dolphin Ambulance initiative to rescue injured Ganga dolphins, emphasizing conservation and public awareness. With a budget of Rs 1 crore, the project includes community training and supports endangered species. Complementary projects, such as turtle conservation in Uttar Pradesh and monitoring at Chambal Sanctuary, aim to safeguard the river’s biodiversity. These efforts underline the critical role of species like dolphins and turtles in maintaining ecological balance. Community engagement and future-focused strategies will drive the mission’s success in restoring the Ganga’s ecological integrity.
