Bima Sakhi Yojana and Horticultural University
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Bima Sakhi Yojana in Panipat, targeting women aged 18 to 70, with an emphasis on financial literacy and insurance awareness. The program includes training for LIC agent roles, a stipend for the first three years, and employment opportunities, empowering women in the financial sector. Additionally, Modi laid the foundation stone for Maharana Pratap Horticultural University, focusing on advanced horticulture research, education, and crop diversification. Spanning 495 acres and costing over ₹700 crore, the university aims to enhance agricultural practices and regional development.
