Bacterial Pathogens Priority List Updated by WHO
The World Health Organization (WHO) has updated its Bacterial Priority Pathogens List (BPPL) to address the increasing threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The updated list, released in May 2024, prioritizes 15 families of antibiotic-resistant bacteria into critical, high, and medium categories to guide research and development (R&D) efforts.
