Atal Innovation Mission 2.0

The Union Cabinet has approved Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) 2.0 with a ₹2,750 crore budget for implementation until March 31, 2028. Building on AIM 1.0, this phase focuses on increasing innovators, improving startup success, and enhancing job quality. Key initiatives include Language Inclusive Program of Innovation (LIPI) for 22 languages, Frontier Program for underserved regions, and startup support programs like the Deeptech Reactor and State Innovation Mission (SIM). AIM 2.0 also emphasizes quality improvement through industry accelerators and sectoral launchpads, fostering innovation and global competitiveness in India.
