Anji Khad Rail Bridge

The Anji Khad Rail Bridge, part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) Project, is India’s first cable-stayed railway bridge. Spanning 725.5 meters in Jammu and Kashmir, it features a 193-meter-high pylon and accommodates single railway tracks, service roads, and footpaths. Constructed amidst seismic and geological challenges, innovative methods like DOKA Jump form shuttering reduced construction time. Equipped with advanced sensors, the bridge ensures safety under extreme conditions, tolerating wind speeds of up to 213 km/h. This project aims to improve connectivity in Kashmir, boosting regional tourism and economic development while marking a milestone in Indian engineering.
