Airtel Becomes First Private Telecom to Provide Mobile Services in J&K Border Villages

Bharti Airtel has become the first private telecom operator to provide mobile services to seven remote border villages in Jammu and Kashmir, including Kachhal, Balbir, and Gurez. This aligns with the Vibrant Village Programme, enhancing connectivity and infrastructure in border areas. Airtel deployed 15 mobile towers, improving communication for residents and soldiers stationed near the Line of Control. Partnering with the Indian Army, Airtel also extended services to challenging terrains like Daulat Beg Oldie and the Galwan River region. This milestone supports national efforts to bridge connectivity gaps and promote development in underserved areas.
