South Asia Summit 2024

The South Asia Summit 2024, held at Perungudi dump yard, focused on waste management, climate action, and gender equality under the theme “New Realities, New Opportunities”. Organized by AVPN and Zigma Global Environ Solutions, the event featured 40+ sessions with 90 speakers. Discussions highlighted land reclamation through biomining, where 96 acres were reclaimed by processing 1.73 million cubic meters of waste. Economic aspects of waste processing, stricter policies, and urban resilience were also emphasized. Key speakers included officials from C40 Cities, Boston Consulting Group, and CEPT. The summit promoted partnerships for sustainable waste management and climate action across South Asia.
