The UN Water Conference 2023 kicked off in New York, nearly 5 decades after the 1st edition was organized in Argentina. The gathering has potential to change how the countries are approaching water management and boost efforts towards SDG 6.

What is the UN Water Conference?

The 1st UN Water Conference was held in Argentina, in 1977.
It resulted in the Mar del Plata Action Plan.

The action plan gave recommendations for improving how we manage and access water resources:

- Boosting investment in water infrastructure
