Discussions about the ‘Digital India Bill’ has been going on since April 2022. Recently, a public consultation on the Bill was organized in Bengaluru. This is a 1st step in overhauling the decades-old IT Act.
What is the Bill about?
- The Digital India Bill is the proposed successor of the 2000 Information Technology Act, today’s core framework for regulating entities on the internet.
