Crimes against tourists from abroad seem to be on the rise in India. In October, an Iraqi couple visiting India for medical treatment were accosted and robbed off the money saved up for the treatment. A 12 year old Russian girl was raped in Goa this year. Only a few days ago a sessions court sentenced 2 men for raping and murdering a Latvian in 2018. There is a need to consider the situation and the lessons they offer.
