The 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2024 runs from November 20-28 in Goa, showcasing cinematic excellence and Goan culture. Organized by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, NFDC, and ESG, it emphasizes young filmmakers, with a record 1,000+ entries for CMOT. The festival features 180 films from 81 countries, with Australia as the focus country. Awards include the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award for Philip Noyce. New initiatives, such as IFFiesta and six new theatres, highlight cultural engagement and enhanced infrastructure.
