UK considering Changes to Graduate Route Visa (GRV)

The UK is considering changes to the Graduate Route Visa (GRV) to attract only the "best and brightest" foreign students. The GRV, introduced in July 2021, allows graduates from UK universities to stay and work in the UK post-graduation. This policy is highly popular among Indian students, who make up the largest group of GRV holders. The proposed changes aim to reduce overall foreign student numbers and combat misinformation from recruitment agents. While intended to improve the quality of foreign graduates, these changes could reduce the UK's appeal as a study destination, particularly affecting Indian students.
