Typhoon Yagi (September 2024)

Typhoon Yagi, the strongest storm of 2024 in Asia, struck Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand in early September, causing over 400 deaths and displacing hundreds of thousands. Vietnam was hardest hit, with 292 deaths and damage totaling 40 lakh crore. Myanmar reported 113 deaths and a rare request for international aid. Thailand faced its worst flooding in 80 years, and Laos also suffered. India responded with Operation Sadbhav, providing
