Sahajanad Saraswati (1889 – 1950) About Born - Uttar Pradesh Major Activity - Bihar a social reformer, had many admirers because of his intellect attractive personality. a polymath sociologist, writer, historian, philosopher linguist, grammar, ascetic, politician social activist farmer rights activist Contributions Saraswati & Congress His career in the political field began when he took a step towards the Indian National Congress during the peasant movement in Patna, Bihar later throughout India. a true Gandhian political school under Gandhiji before serving loyally in Congress. In 1920, Sahajanand Saraswati were immersed in the nationalist movement with the hope of helping the peasants with the help of Congress. Sahajanand Saraswati was a Dandi Sanyaasi, always carried a cane with him. became a symbol resistance uprising of the peasants. But in the 15 years of service to the party, he fell into the hypocritical faces of the party people and rejected him. separated from the party in 1934 Formation of Bihar Provincial Kisan Sabha (1929) Why? To give his peasant revolution as a formal organization, Where? Patna Activities? Sabha members were immersed in the civil disobedience movement, which did not give them any success = discussions between members of Congress = Swami Sahajanand completely separated from politics (1934) All India Kisan Sabha (1936) Sahajanand Saraswati - first president.
