Address environmental concerns of AMR
(limit release of antibiotic residues into waterways through industrial waste)
Process
Third-party validation
Environmental management and wastewater treatment systems required
Concentration of antibiotics in waste streams
must be below specified threshold
Certification is valid for three years (annual surveillance for ongoing compliance)
