Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025
The 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) is being held in Bhubaneswar from January 8-10, 2025, under the theme “Diaspora’s Contribution to a Viksit Bharat.” The event, inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi, celebrates the Indian diaspora’s role in India’s development. President Christine Carla Kangaloo of Trinidad and Tobago will deliver a virtual address, and President Droupadi Murmu will give the valedictory speech. Highlights include the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards, exhibitions on Ramayana and diaspora contributions, and discussions on investment and collaboration. With over 50 participating countries, the event emphasizes diaspora engagement in shaping India’s global identity and economic growth.
