PM Modi Launches Three PARAM Rudra Supercomputers in India
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated three PARAM Rudra supercomputers in Pune, Delhi, and Kolkata, developed under the National Supercomputing Mission. These supercomputers, alongside a ₹850 crore High-Performance Computing (HPC) system for weather and climate research, mark significant advancements in India's scientific capabilities. The PARAM Rudra systems will support research in fields such as astronomy, material science, and cosmology, while the HPC system will improve weather predictions, aiding disaster management. Modi also emphasized future projects, including India's space ambitions and the need for a semiconductor ecosystem to strengthen India's role in global technology.
