New Metro Corridor
The Union Cabinet has approved the 26.46-km Rithala-Narela-Nathupur Metro Corridor as part of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) Phase-IV expansion. Estimated at ₹6,230 crores, the project is expected to complete in four years, featuring 21 elevated stations. It aims to enhance connectivity in northwest Delhi, linking Ghaziabad to Haryana, and reducing traffic congestion. This marks DMRC’s fourth expansion into Haryana and aligns with NCR’s integrated development goals. The project emphasizes public transport usage, reduced pollution, and regional economic growth, showcasing collaborative governance between the central and Delhi governments.
