Moldova Joins International Solar Alliance

Moldova has joined the International Solar Alliance (ISA), marking its commitment to renewable energy. The ISA, headquartered in India, focuses on mobilizing USD 1000 billion by 2030 to expand solar energy globally. Moldova’s membership, formalized in New Delhi, follows Armenia’s recent accession, highlighting growing global interest in solar solutions. India plays a pivotal role in the ISA, with projects like solarising government buildings and healthcare facilities. Key initiatives include solar-powered cold storage and technical training for member countries. The ISA aims to address technology, financing, and scalability challenges, advancing sustainability and collaborative energy development.
