Konyak Union Seeks Boundary Correction from Nagaland CM
The Konyak Union, representing the Konyak tribe in Nagaland, has requested Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio to correct boundary errors on Google Maps. The maps mistakenly show parts of Mon district as belonging to Assam's Charaideo district. The dispute traces back to historical borders and traditional agreements between the Ahoms of Assam and the Konyak Nagas. The matter is currently under review by the Supreme Court of India, and the Konyak Union has warned of potential conflicts if the issue is not promptly resolved.
