JIGYASA Program
The JIGYASA program, an initiative by CSIR, enhances scientific learning through hands-on experiments. A recent event featured students from 37 CSIR labs performing a simultaneous DNA isolation experiment, guided by experts. The exercise, inaugurated by Dr. Souvik Maiti of CSIR-IGIB, focused on genomics and the importance of integrating practical and theoretical knowledge. Participants successfully extracted DNA from saliva, gaining valuable insights into molecular biology. The event promoted critical thinking, highlighted CSIR's contributions to science, and encouraged student engagement. It underscored the program’s role in fostering scientific curiosity and innovation among youth.
