Iran-Israel Conflict 2024
In April 2024, Iran launched a large-scale attack, named Operation True Promise, on Israel and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights using drones, cruise, and ballistic missiles. This was in retaliation for an Israeli airstrike earlier in the month that targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus, which killed several members of Iran's Revolutionary Guards. The attack involved various regional allies of Iran, including forces from Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen. The significant interception rate of over 99% by Israel's Arrow 3 and David's Sling missile defense systems demonstrated a high level of defensive capability. The ongoing conflict presents serious risks of further escalation, affecting regional stability.
