INROAD Project

The INROAD (Indian Natural Rubber Operations for Assisted Development) project, launched with ₹100 crore funding, aims to improve natural rubber quality in India’s North East and West Bengal. Supported by tyre industry leaders like Apollo, Ceat, JK, and MRF, and implemented by the Rubber Board of India, the initiative focuses on skill development, infrastructure like model smokehouses, and empowering women growers. Over 1.25 lakh hectares of rubber plantations have been established, with training provided via digital platforms. The project fosters collaboration between rubber growers and the tyre industry, enhancing sustainability and quality while promoting regional economic growth.
