India’s Higher Education Crisis

Russia’s floating nuclear power plants (FNPPs), such as the Akademik Lomonosov, are revolutionizing remote energy solutions. Operative since 2019 in Pevek, the FNPP utilizes two reactors with a 70 MW combined capacity, ensuring energy access in isolated regions. With earthquake-resistant and relocatable designs, these plants are adaptable and environmentally conscious. Rosatom, Russia’s nuclear energy corporation, plans to collaborate with India, leveraging its vast coastline and islands for implementation. FNPPs provide cost-effective, sustainable energy with minimal land usage, advancing nuclear technology globally. Future developments include additional FNPPs and modular reactors, expanding energy accessibility while addressing climate challenges.
