India’s Crypto Investment Landscape
Delhi and Bengaluru led India’s cryptocurrency investments in 2024, accounting for 30.5% of the national portfolio, with Delhi-NCR at 20.9% and Bengaluru at 9.6%. Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities like Pune, Botad, and Jaipur also showed strong participation, with Pune reporting 86% positive returns. Investors favored blue-chip tokens (37%) and Layer-1 tokens, while meme coins like PEPE achieved exceptional returns (1373%). Young investors under 35 comprised 75% of the market, with women making up 11%. This growth reflects increasing crypto adoption across urban and smaller cities, emphasizing diversification and innovation in the Indian investment landscape.
