India-IPEF Agreements
India signed key agreements under the US-led Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF), focusing on building a clean and fair economy. These agreements, formalized during Prime Minister Modi's US visit, aim to promote clean energy, economic transparency, and cooperation among 14 member countries. Financial support includes the IPEF Catalytic Capital Fund with million and a 0 million investment from the US Development Finance Corporation. While the agreements strengthen India's regional ties and clean energy initiatives, concerns about transparency and potential misalignment with national interests remain. The IPEF represents 40% of the global economy, aiming to counter China’s influence.
