India and Vietnam Coast Guard Joint Exercise
The Vietnam Coast Guard Ship CSB 8005 recently visited Kochi, India, as part of efforts to strengthen maritime cooperation between the Vietnam Coast Guard (VCG) and the Indian Coast Guard (ICG). A key highlight was the Sahayog Hop Tac sea exercise, focusing on pollution response, anti-drug trafficking, and search-and-rescue operations. Simulated exercises addressed maritime security threats, while joint training and community activities fostered collaboration. The visit demonstrated the two nations' commitment to maritime security and enhanced operational readiness for tackling shared challenges.
