Groundwater Resource Assessment 2024
The Groundwater Resource Assessment Report 2024, released by the Union Minister of Jal Shakti, highlights India's groundwater recharge, extraction, and sustainability. The total annual groundwater recharge is 446.90 BCM, with an extractable resource of 406.19 BCM. Extraction is at 245.64 BCM, with an average extraction stage of 60.47%.
