First All-Women Battalion in CISF

The Government of India has approved the establishment of the Mahila Battalion, the first all-women unit in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Announced during the 53rd CISF Day by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, this initiative aims to empower women and enhance gender inclusivity in national security. The battalion will protect critical infrastructure like airports and metro systems and provide VIP security.
