Dr. Manmohan Singh Passes Away
Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India, passed away at 92 in New Delhi on December 27, 2024. Born on September 26, 1932, in Punjab, he was educated at Cambridge and Oxford. Known as the architect of India’s 1991 economic reforms, he served as Finance Minister under PV Narasimha Rao and later as Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014. His administration focused on inclusive growth and poverty alleviation. A Rajya Sabha member for 33 years, he retired in 2024. Survived by his wife Gursharan Kaur and three daughters, Dr. Singh’s legacy as an economic visionary endures.
