Bibhab Kumar Talukdar Receives Harry Messel Award for Conservation
Bibhab Kumar Talukdar, a renowned conservation scientist from Assam, has been honored with the prestigious Harry Messel Award for Conservation Leadership by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Species Survival Commission (SSC) at its 5th Leaders’ Meeting in Abu Dhabi. Talukdar’s extensive work in protecting endangered species, particularly Asian rhinos, and promoting biodiversity conservation through community engagement and sustainable policies has earned him this recognition. As the founder of Aaranyak and Chair of the Asian Rhino Specialist Group, he continues to play a vital role in global conservation efforts.
