HAL’s Combat Air Teaming System Warrior

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) achieved a milestone by successfully conducting the engine ground run of the Combat Air Teaming System (CATS) Warrior ahead of Aero India 2025. CATS integrates manned aircraft, like the Tejas as a mothership, with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and combat drones for enhanced surveillance, precision strikes, and risk reduction. Developed with DRDO, NAL, and Newspace Research & Technologies, it showcases indigenous advancements in defence technology. The Warrior drone can strike targets up to 700 km. CATS’ integration of artificial intelligence and autonomous capabilities enhances India’s aerial defence while aligning with the country’s goal of modernizing its military.
