Multilingual e-Shram Portal

The Government of India, under Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, has enhanced the e-Shram portal with multilingual functionality, supporting 22 scheduled languages as part of the Bhashini project. This upgrade aims to facilitate unorganised workers’ access to welfare schemes, with over 30,000 daily registrations showcasing its growing adoption. The portal serves as a one-stop solution for accessing social security benefits, now easier with user-friendly features. Future plans include a mobile app and integrated payment gateways. This initiative reflects India’s commitment to social protection for unorganised workers while promoting linguistic inclusivity under the 8th Schedule of the Constitution.
