SVAMITVA Scheme – Empowering Rural Property Owners

The SVAMITVA scheme aims to empower rural property owners by providing legal documentation of ownership through property cards. Prime Minister Narendra Modi plans to distribute over 58 lakh property cards, promoting financial inclusion, reducing property disputes, and improving local governance. Using drone surveys, the scheme has mapped land in over 3.17 lakh villages, generating accurate property records. Nearly 2 crore property cards have been issued so far. This initiative not only enhances village-level planning but also enables access to credit and financial services. The event will include interactions with beneficiaries and participation by Union and State Ministers.
