Kisan Kavach: Anti-Pesticide Bodysuit

The Kisan Kavach, India’s first anti-pesticide bodysuit, was launched by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh. Developed by BRIC-inStem in collaboration with Sepio Health Pvt. Ltd., the suit aims to protect farmers from pesticide exposure, mitigating risks like respiratory issues. Priced at ₹4,000 and lasting up to a year, the washable suit uses advanced fabric technology that neutralizes pesticides on contact. This innovation aligns with the Modi government’s push for science-driven agricultural safety. The initiative addresses farmer safety, supports the bioeconomy, and is expected to become more affordable with increased production.
