Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA)
The Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA) aims to digitally empower rural India by training one individual from each of the 6 crore rural households. As of March 31, 2024, over 6.39 crore individuals have been trained, surpassing the target. The scheme complements initiatives like the India BPO Promotion Scheme (IBPS) and FutureSkills PRIME, promoting job creation, reskilling, and technological advancements. With its focus on rural digital literacy and inclusivity, PMGDISHA is a significant step toward bridging India’s digital divide and ensuring workforce readiness for emerging tech-driven industries.
