Compendium of Regenerative Agriculture in Odisha
Odisha launched a Compendium of Regenerative Agriculture in partnership with ICRISAT during the International Symposium on Shree Anna and Forgotten Foods in Bhubaneshwar. This initiative focuses on sustainable practices like minimising soil disturbance, enhancing crop diversity, and integrating livestock. The compendium emphasizes regenerative agriculture for millets, pulses, and oilseeds, promoting carbon sequestration and climate resilience. Collaboration with CII explores innovation in agriculture and food processing. Smallholder farmer sustainability remains central, with mechanisation and resource support highlighted as solutions. This effort underscores Odisha's commitment to holistic agricultural practices and farmer welfare.
